SilverEdge Capital is a boutique advisory firm dedicated to providing independent investment advice to funds and also to individuals who are seeking to take more direct control of their Investment and Pension portfolios. We are full time focused on identifying investment opportunities suitable to the funds we advise and to private clients’ circumstances and attitude to risk. We are not focused on selling products or generating commission unlike many financial advisors.

Our investment advice is generated on the back of the same rigorous approach undertaken in managing our own resources, and with the same focus on capital preservation. We are a significant investor in the SilverEdge European Fund, ensuring very close alignment of interest to shareholders in the fund. We tell private clients what we are doing with our own money and, following a profiling exercise in which we establish a clients goals, attitude to risk and investment horizon, we work with them to develop a suitable tailored portfolio.

We have considerable experience managing a large private investment portfolio and would like to share that experience and day to day focus with individuals who have similar ambitions but do not have the time to manage their investment portfolios on a full time basis. We also provide comprehensive and tailored Investment Reports for clients together with periodic face to face review meetings to ensure clients are kept fully informed and up to speed with the performance of and developments within their investment portfolio.

    Alignment of Interest
    We tell clients what we are doing with our own money and will generally only recommend investments that we have invested in or are considering investing in ourselves.

    Preservation of Capital
    We place a high priority on preservation of capital when it comes to our own investments and do so when making any investment recommendations although of course one must recognise that reward does not come without taking risk.

    Diversification with a Preference for Liquid Investments
    We believe that diversification is an essential attribute of any portfolio and we have a strong preference for executing investment ideas via listed (publicly quoted) markets for liquidity, transparency and other reasons.

    Comprehensive and High Quality Reporting
    We believe that reports provided by traditional investment managers are often inadequate and of a generic nature that may not fully meet a client’s needs. We generate our own tailored and consolidated reporting for clients, focusing on underlying exposures by business sectors as well as other key analyses in a relevant format together with commentary where appropriate.
